FEE-HELP and VET FEE-HELP - FAQ 02

02. Is it the legislation that all eligible students have to be reported, regardless of their payment choice? By eligibility I mean citizenship and their entitlement to access VET FEE‑HELP?

Your understanding is correct for VET FEE‑HELP data. The scope of the VET FEE‑HELP student collection is that all eligible students regardless whether they choose to access VET FEE‑HELP need to be reported. As an example, if you have a student who is eligible for VET FEE‑HELP but chooses to pay their fees upfront you would still be required to report this student in your submission.

The scope for the higher education student collection is different to the scope of the VET FEE‑HELP student collection. All students, including overseas students, who are enrolled in your organisation’s higher education course are reported in the student submission. To ensure that you are reporting the required information for your collection please refer to the scope documents.
