CODE MEANING
1XXX "1XXX" is the code for an academic organisational unit. These three characters must be consistent with the codes used for academic organisational units reported in the Higher Education Student Collection, prefixed by "1" to indicate it is an academic organisation unit.

Coding notes

  • For staff members that undertake duties in academic and non-academic organisational units, only the academic proportion of the staff member's duties, commensurate FTE and academic organisational unit should be reported.
  • The Codes used to report academic staff members should match those used where their teaching is undertaken and should match the student data collection.
  • Codes commencing with 1XXX are academic organisational units (teaching units) where XXX is the code determined by the provider.
