066 Level B (Lecturer or equivalent)
100 Level A (Tutor, research assistant, instructor or equivalent)
150 Academic Staff Member (not further classified, should only be used if no other code is applicable
160 Senior Level Academic (alternative code)
165 Middle Level Academic (alternative code)
170 Junior Level Academic (e.g. Tutors/instructors) (alternative code)

Coding notes

  • If providers are unable to equate the levels used above to those used in their organisation then alternative codes 150, 160, 165, 170 (Academic staff) should be used.
  • Professional clinicians should be reported using an "Academic" staff classification.
  • If a suitable classification description is not available from the above list, then a salary range for each staff member should be provided using Element 588 PIR.
