- 2nd 2 digits - Month sub-field (e.g. 04)
- 3rd 2 digits - Day sub-field (e.g. 16)
For students undertaking their first or discrete second six month study period, the study period commencement date is the date on which the student first commences study with the overseas institution in respect of the six month OS-HELP study period.
For students undertaking a second six month study period that is a continuation of their first six month study period, the study period commencement date is the date six months hence of the date that the student first commences study with the overseas institution in respect of the six month OS-HELP study period.
